Gettinger, Associate Field Manager to Brenda Halter, Forest Supervisor, United States Department of Agriculture, Superior National Forest.  The letter states that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) received a formal Operation Plan for proposed activities on Lease 1352 submitted by Twin Metals.  The proposed activities include core drilling on sites located on the Superior National Forest in Minnesota. Review and recommendation is requested.

Gettinger, Associate Field Manager to Dave Tyler from Twin Metals Minnesota.  The letter states that BLM has received their Operation Plan Dated January 3, 2013 for Lease MNES-1353. The “drill core activities” include 26 sites that are all subject to stipulations enclosed with letter.

E-mail correspondence from David D. Grandmaison, Wildlife Biologist on December 20, 2012 about the Maturi Southwest Operating Plan and Wildlife to Eric Wirz. Grandmaison reviewed Twin Metal Minnesota proposed Plans of Operation for the Maturi Southwest mineral Exploration project on Federal Lease MNES-01352, State Leases: MN-10206-N and MN-9815-N and State/Private Lease: MM-9132-N/Mitchell Trust. Grandmaison raised concerns about protecting owls, goshawk, bald eagles, lynx and minimizing impact on wildlife by limiting motorized access.
